The Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) was established in Kansas City, MO in 1954. We launched in Cincinnati in 1979. In the decades since, FCA has grown it's ministry throughout the US and around the world, now serving over 115 countries!! FCA ministry serves on school campuses, in club/league sports, at camps and retreats, at events and online. Our mission is to lead every coach and athlete into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and His church. Check out this video to see us in action.
STUDENT CLUBS CALLED HUDDLES
Our primary opportunity for engaging with student-athletes is through an FCA "Huddle" - the Huddle is an on-campus school club where student-athletes gather weekly to study the Bible, learn about God, pray together and encourage one another. It’s a place for community and connection.
Every week across Cincinnati, nearly 1,000 athletes meet in their Huddles at school. We are seeing new Huddles starting and existing Huddles growing.
In the FCA Huddle, athletes learn to use the Bible as their “game plan” for life and help others do the same.
DISCIPLESHIP & SERVING EVENTS
FCA seeks to connect with coaches and athletes on a relational level to engage them where they are on their spiritual journey. After cultivating relationships, we equip them with God’s word so they grow in Christ and help others know and grow in Him.
Then we empower coaches and athletes to help others experience salvation in Jesus, grow in their faith, and share Him with others.
We offer student-athlete discipleship events to connect them with other Christian student-athletes, equip them with God's Word in large group messages and small group discussions, offer fun competition and encourage participants to live boldly for Christ in their circles of influence.
Each semester, we schedule opportunities for our school Huddle participants from across the city to gather in a day of serving.
CAMPS & RETREATS FOR STUDENTS + COACHES
FCA hosts a variety of camps for youth, middle school/high school, and college/university student-athletes. Ranging from 3 days of 1/2-day local-area camp to week-long overnight camps around the region, athletes have the opportunity to immerse themselves in a caring and challenging spiritual environment. They will spend time with peers and awesome staff & volunteers to help them have fun, recharge and - most importantly - grow closer to God.
Our annual Coaches TimeOut (CTO) marriage retreat is a weekend for coaches and their spouses to reinvest relationally, rest meaningfully and renew spiritually. It's designed to help coaches and spouses win where it matters most — at home.
